The elevated 'seafarer's style' house is of rough hewn cedar and pine, elevated 15' above ground with a wraparound open-air porch that gives you a breath-taking view up and down the private wide beach. Benching around the entire deck connects in the back to a rampway up and stairs, connecting two back bedroom suites, two miniatures of the same construction as the main pod

You have a shipboard's feel, looking out over the sea oats and just 50 feet to the water. Sea grapes provide natural xeriscaping around the house, and a boardwalk over the berm takes you down to the beach. Large picture windows surround the main pod open living space that bring the outside in and allow for beach supervision at a distance.

The great room consists of wall-to-wall procelain tile, and sisel rugs that separate the dining room, living area, television corner and kitchen. The master suite is to the back of the main pod, providing a master bedroom(king) and bath, guest bedroom(queen) with crib, guest bath and laundry facilities. To the rear, each back pod comfortably sleeps 6 people, with a double bed and 4 bunks each, with a sofa sleeper, and 1 1/2 baths in each. Floor Plan.

To the rear of the house lies the "Girls Pod" [aka Ariel's Grotto] on the south and the "Boys Pod" [aka Crews Quarters] on the north side.  The Girls' Pod will accommodate a family of 4-6, with a king size bed, a set of bunk beds, and a sofa sleeper.  The Boys Pod is equipped with a double bed, 2 sets of bunk beds and a sofa sleeper.

Downstairs finds the favorite showering spot in the house..... the outdoor hot showers..... perfect for use coming right off the beach... and connected by boardwalk underneath the house. The showers are enclosed with a dressing area for added convenience.

Hoses reside at both stairways up to the house, to keep the sand 'on the beach!' and to wash or clean your booty of shells, driftwood or treasure! A fish-cleaning station is provided for the anglers......

Regardless of the weather, you can always find the perfect spot on the outdoor deck to enjoy balmy breezes and a good book. A Pawley Island hammock is a favorite spot for young and old alike.

The house comes equipped most everything you need to relax! We even have a lending library of books and movies! We provide a fully stocked house..... upon your arrival you will find the beds all made, bath and beach towels, extra linens, condiments, soap, spices, paper goods, baggies..... which we offer on a "use and replenish" basis...... so that whatever runs out while you are with us, is your responsibilty and replaced for the next visitors.

We ask that you leave the house much as you find it, with all bed linens and towels washed before leaving, ready for us to remake the beds and provide cleaning service before the next arrival. An additional $250 is optional to cover these exit requests. This helps us keep our costs down and enables us to 'turn' the house for our next visitors in a timely fashion.
